What is required?
General requirements for obtaining a tourist guide licence
Tourist guide exam
The candidate must pass the professional tourist guide exam before the competent authority. The exam tests knowledge in the fields of history, culture, geography and legislation.
Licensed guide for the region — Adriatic Croatia
After passing the exam, a tourist guide licence is obtained for the Adriatic Croatia region, which covers the coastal and island counties.
Joining DTVS
Once you have obtained the licence, you can submit a membership application and become a member of the Association of Tourist Guides Split. The annual membership fee is paid from 1 January to 31 March each year.
Note on the membership fee
The annual membership fee must be paid between 1 January and 31 March of the current year in order to be an active member of the association for that year. For any inquiries, write to info@guides.hr.

Note on the membership fee
Regardless of the date of joining during the year, every new member pays the full annual membership fee for the calendar year. The fee for the following years is paid from 1 January to 31 March.

Membership fee payment deadline

Payment after this deadline is possible with an additional enrolment fee.
Late payment may result in the loss of active member status and removal from the list of guides on the website.
